This year, we will host a “Corn on the Cob” eating contest for three different age groups, our first ever
“PRETTIEST PET” contest and many other new and exciting kid’s activities along with our standards!

* 3 - 4 p.m. Corn on the Cob Eating Contest for ages 11 - 14

(A $10 Gift Certificate from Toys R Us will be First Prize for each group! )

PHOTO CONTEST

This year’s SummerFest Committee invites all beautiful young children, newborn to age four, to enter our 1st Annual SummerFest Prince & Princess Photo Contest. One little boy and one little girl will each win a $100.00 savings bond donated by the St. Ronald’s Men’s Club.

To enter, complete the registration form and include a picture (no larger than 5 x 7) and the $2.00 entry fee. If you want your photo returned, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope with your entry. All entry forms must be received by Thursday, June 19, 2008.

The winners will be chosen by our festival patrons who will be invited to make monetary donations for their favorite SummerFest Prince and SummerFest Princess. The boy and girl contestants with the highest total will win. 2008 SummerFest Prince and Princess winners will be announced at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22nd under the big pavilion.

PRETTIEST PET CONTEST

For the 2nd year the SummerFest Committee invites pet owners to enter their favorite pet into our PRETTIEST PET CONTEST! The two top winners will receive a gift certificate to Pet Supplies Plus!

Strawberry Bake-Off Contest

This year’s SummerFest Committee invites all amateur bakers to enter their favorite strawberry recipe into our STRAWBERRY BAKE-OFF CONTEST!

To enter, complete the registration form, your recipe (if you want) and return it with the $5.00 entry fee. All entry forms must be received by Thursday, June 19th 2008. All STRAWBERRY ENTREES must be brought into the Main Pavilion by 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22nd. We have limited refrigerator space.

The winners will be chosen by our Celebrity Judges Panel: Sheriff Mark Hackel, 39th District Court Judge, Catherine Steenland, Macomb CVounty Circuit Court Judge, David Viviano, WDIV channel 4’s Marc Santia and our very own Fr. Jim. The 2nd Annual STRAWBERRY BAKE-OFF winners will be announced at around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22nd under the Main Pavilion!
